Built for how builders actually work

Cash flow on long jobs

Take a deposit when the quote is accepted and invoice each stage as you go, instead of waiting for one big payment at the end.

CIS and reverse charge headaches

PaySorted works out CIS deductions on labour and shows the domestic reverse charge wording when you invoice another VAT-registered contractor.

Customers who go quiet

Reminders go out before the due date, on the day and after. When it's really overdue, there's a ready-made letter before action.

Automatic chasing

Never chase a customer again

Every builder on PaySorted gets three ready-written reminders — Friendly, Professional and Firm — filled in with the customer's name, the invoice number, the amount and a payment link. They go out on schedule by email or text, and stop the moment the customer pays.

  • Before it's due, on the day, then 7, 14 and 28 days late
  • Sent from your business name — replies come straight to you
  • Customers can tap "I've paid by bank transfer" to pause reminders
  • Edit the wording and timings, or leave it to us

Limited company? It's all on the invoice

Running as a limited company? PaySorted puts your registered company name, company number, where you're registered and your registered office on every invoice, as the law requires.

Plus: quotes customers accept online, deposits, photos and certificates on each job, card and Pay by Bank payments, CIS and VAT on invoices, and Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent & Sage.

Deposits, text reminders, the customer page, the letter before action and accounting software connections are on the Pro plan and above. Everything else is on every plan.

Professional invoices, done right

Your logo and colours — or a clean name heading if you don't have a logo — with everything a UK invoice must show, whether you're a sole trader or a limited company, VAT registered or not. What must be on an invoice?

Questions from builders

Can I invoice in stages?

Yes. Create an invoice for each stage from the job — each one is chased separately and you can see what's been paid at a glance.

Does it do the VAT domestic reverse charge?

Yes. When you invoice a VAT-registered business customer for construction work, switch on reverse charge and the invoice shows the VAT for information with "Customer to pay the VAT to HMRC".

Can my office staff use it too?

Yes, on the Business plan you can add logins for you and up to 2 staff (more at £8 a month each). Staff can see jobs and customers without seeing your money figures if you prefer.

What if a customer still won't pay?

After the final reminder, PaySorted guides you through what to do next, including a ready-to-send letter before action (Pro plan).
